Terms
situ.news monitors large news stories by collecting what other outlets have published. Using the site means you agree to these terms.
Last updated 9 October 2026.
What the site is
- Story pages are written automatically from other outlets' published reporting, with links to every source. Labels describe what a source is and how a claim stands; they are not verdicts, and nothing here is professional, medical or financial advice.
- Automatic summaries can be wrong. Please check the original sources, and tell us about mistakes through the contact form.
Accounts and discussion
- You sign in with an X account, which must be at least 30 days old to comment. Keep to the community rules.
- Comments are checked before they appear. We can refuse or remove any comment and limit, suspend or remove accounts that break the rules, as the rules describe.
- You keep the rights to what you write, and give us permission to show it on situ.news.
How we protect users
We check every comment before anyone sees it, act on reports, and remove illegal content as soon as we know about it. How this works, including strikes and appeals, is set out in the community rules.
Complaints and appeals
Anyone can complain about content or a decision through the contact form, with or without an account; a person reads every message. Strikes can be appealed from the discussion section of any story.
The legal bits
- The site is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise either.
- We are not responsible for other sites we link to.
- We may change these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
